Prof. dr. S.B. (Steven) Vos

Steven Vos (1976) is lector Move to Be bij Fontys Sporthogeschool en hoogleraar ‘Design and Analysis of Intelligent Systems for Vitality and Leisure Time Sports’ aan de TU/e.

Steven Vos is een bruggenbouwer tussen disciplines, beleidsdomeinen en sectoren, maar vooral tussen mensen. Hij wil mensen inspireren en enthousiasmeren om hun grenzen te verleggen en elkaars expertises te versterken, met respect voor ieders eigenheid en talenten. Hij is een veelgevraagde spreker, zowel op (internationale) wetenschappelijke congressen en symposia als op studiedagen, workshops en theatervoorstellingen voor een divers publiek. Zijn open, inspirerende en verrassende kijk op maatschappelijke vraagstukken en uitdagingen (en hoe organisaties hierin vaak te kort schieten) krijgt heel wat bijval.

Samen met een team van enthousiaste onderzoekers wil hij nadrukkelijk bijdragen aan het slim en duurzaam verankeren van verantwoord sporten en bewegen, onder meer door het stimuleren en faciliteren van een actieve levensstijl op maat van personen, hun omgeving en de setting waarin ze vertoeven. De ambities van het lectoraat worden uitgewerkt rondom drie centrale kennisthema’s: (i) leren bewegen, (ii) actieve leefstijl, en (iii) beweegvriendelijke omgeving. Zijn onderzoek situeert zich op het snijvlak van diverse disciplines.
