A challenging Research Assignment
Are you also curious why there are so little frontier workers in the Dutch-German border regions? We live in a Europe with open borders for people. But still only a very small percentage of people work across borders. Nevertheless, studies show that there are many opportunities in terms of jobs. But what are these opportunities? And could there be a match between supply and demand in the cross-border labour market?
That is what you will be dealing with during your internship. You will be joining a German-Dutch team of people who are committed to the development of the German-Dutch border regions.
Participating in the day-to-day business
The Research Group ‘Cross-border Business Development’ supports students and businesses in exploring and exploiting the international opportunities our border region has to offer. By doing this we contribute to the attractiveness of this region for businesses and people. The Research Group is part of Fontys.
Fontys is an open organisation that welcomes proactive minds. You will be actively supported to get to know the team and the organisation. In addition, working for Fontys will allow you to get in touch with businesses and Business Clubs in the euregion. You will be assigned concrete tasks and responsibilities in the field of e.g. eventmanagement or marketing. Of course, you will have plenty of opportunity to work on your graduation assignment.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a proactive student with strong communication skills. As we are working in the Dutch-German border region a good working knowledge of both Dutch and German is required. Preferably one of these on C2 or native level. In addition, you should have good analytical skills and are quality driven.
