This Master of Science programme takes 1 year and is taught in English. It’s taught in 2 different countries. The study has 3 variants:

  • MSc International Logistics and Supply Chain Management
  • MSc International Procurement and Supply Chain Management
  • MSc International Operations and Supply Chain Management

In many master’s programmes, subjects such as academic skills are offered in a first year or pre-master’s programme. In this course, academic skills are interwoven throughout the year. How does your week look?

In this programme, your weeks consist of attending workshops, classes, guest lectures, assignments, case studies, and logistics field trips. The average number of classes is 14 per week. In addition, you’ll do a lot of self-study and group work.

Courses

Greatly enhance your employability in areas of international logistics and supply chain management with a programme that includes options to study abroad, gain a dual award title and join the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) upon graduation. With this professionally accredited programme you develop a business and industry focus through our visiting speakers programme and benefit from a research-informed and technology-enhanced curriculum.

The study is divided into 3 Terms of 60 U.K.credits / 30 EC each;

2 Modules (30 U.K.credits / 15 EC per module):

  • MAR7008V International Supply Chain Management and Data Management
  • MAR7001V Finance and Economics for International Supply Chains

3 Modules (30 credits / 15 EC per module):

  • MAR7003 Sustainable Supply Chain Management
  • STO7008 Operations Management for Competitive Advantage
  • PBS7000 Capstone project (60 credits / 30 EC)

 

 

Diploma and language requirements EEA

To be accepted onto this degree course you must have:

1. A relevant Bachelor degree or equivalent in a business, engineering or logistics subject.

Candidates with no SCM/logistic background in their Bachelor degree or in work experience, will receive a preparatory package 3 months prior to the start in September. This package consists of relevant readings, online tutorials and the possibility to join a short (free) pre-course 1,5 week before the start of the program.


2. A suitable English language qualification English:

  • IELTS Academic score of 6.5 overall (with a minimum of 5.5 in each element).
  • TOEFL iBT score of 90 (with mimimum scores of listening 17, reading 18, speaking 20, writing 18).

they have been awarded no more than 2,5 years prior to your course start date at Venlo.

Dutch, German and EU-students with a Bachelor degree according to the Diploma list of the Code of Conduct can be exempted from the required IELTS or TOEFL iBT test report.

After receipt and verification of the application form, Fontys University will send the enrolment letter / conditional enrolment letter / dismissal letter by email.

      Costs

      2023-2024 EU students Non- EU/ EEA students
      First instalment €4.150,- €8.900,-
      Second instalment £6,934.- £8,650.-

      There are currently no scholarships available for the study programmes that we have on offer at our Fontys Venlo campus. However, for other programmes Fontys currently offers several scholarships for Non-Eu / Non-EEA students. You might also be eligible for other scholarships not provided by Fontys. These can be found on Grantfinder.nl

      Tuition fees are paid in two instalments;
      The first is charged in June (for non EU/EEA students) or August (for EU/EEA students) > for 1st semester in Venlo.
      The second is charged in January > for 2nd semester and summer period in Plymouth..

      Living expenses Plymouth

      The average living expenses per month for a foreign student living and studying in Plymouth are between £ 900 - £ 1.100 per month. These living expenses cover rent, insurance, food, public transportation, books, clothing and other general costs. 

      Living expenses Netherlands

      The Dutch currency unit is the Euro (i.e. abbreviated to ‘EUR’ or ‘€’).

      The average living expenses per month for a foreign student living and studying in Holland are between EUR 1,100 and EUR 1,500 per month. These living expenses cover rent, insurance, food, public transportation, books, clothing and other general costs. 

      Dutch Immigration Service (IND) requires non-EEA students to proof they have access to € 14.641 per year (€ 7.320 per semester)

      Costs within the first months upon arrival will be higher than all other months due to a housing deposit, intro week and books. Study books are usually bought at the start of the semester and therefore it is wise to reserve and have direct access to an amount at the start of the semester which can cover the price of all study books and the living expenses for the first two months. 

      Fontys offers assistance in securing suitable student accommodation in Venlo. You can apply for accommodation when applying for the master programme. Finding accommodation in Venlo for only 4 months is not always easy. Therefore, it is important to meet the prescribed deadline for accommodation, which will be given after admission. You can find more information on the application procedure for a housing request through Fontys Venlo on our website.

      Please note that available student housing is limited in the Netherlands due to the housing crisis, so make sure to start your search in time. Check out our website for tips.

      In Plymouth, students look for accommodation on their own. Most students find accommodation by searching online or by asking MSc alumni. In general, it is not difficult to find good accommodation in Plymouth within two weeks.
