Your introduction week

On Monday is your first introduction with your study. We have organised the following for you and all the other new students:

After the welcome at the campsite, you will be divided into groups for the intro. These will be as similar as possible to your class for the first year. You will then go in groups to the city to start with a fox hunt. We have marked several locations in the city where a teacher will be waiting with a real primal Dutch game. During the fox hunt, we have arrange a lunch for you at Café Publiek where you can sit and chat quietly.

After the fox hunt, we will do a beer cantus at the campsite. This will start at 16:00 and last until 18:30 after which we will have arranged delicious Domino's pizza for you.

When everyone has finished eating, you will have time to get ready for your first introduction to Stratumseind. For the first evening, we have rented a pub where we can stay all evening at a nice discount at the bar.

At 2:00 the pub closes and you have to go back to the campsite to start day 2 fresh!

Tuesday, after breakfast, we start nicely on time again with the
introduction to the student association at 9:00. After this, we will all go to
the Fontys campus on the Rachelsmolen. Here, we have planned activities for you
to discover the campus a bit, where you will be spending a lot of your time as students.

Afterwards, we will return to the campsite for a lunch co-sponsored by SubWay. You will then have time to get yourself ready for a lovely active and relaxing day at the IJzeren Man, where we will have fun activities planned and in between you can take a lovely dip in the water. We will be here all day, with a BBQ at the venue in the evening. After the IJzeren Man, you will again have the opportunity to get yourself cleaned up at the campsite for Stratumseind part 2. Here we have agreed to meet at Café Costa, where we also have a nice deal here thanks to the study association Corpus.

This evening will also come to an end at 2:00 where you should make your way back to the campsite.

Your introduction is finished! Time to pack your things and head home. We hope you enjoyed yourself intensely and made many new friends. Good luck during your studies and see you at Fontys!

It is forbidden to consume strong drink and drugs. Alcohol is only served and drunk from 4 p.m. In addition to soft drinks, beer and wine are served at the overnight locations during the festivities (from 4 p.m.). If we do find liquor and/or drugs, they will be confiscated and we may send you home. Under the age of 18, alcohol is completely prohibited. Students aged 18 or older will receive an 18+ wristband at the start of the introduction week upon presentation of their ID card.

During the entire introduction week, First Aid / In-house Emergency and First Aid is present. Employees can be recognized by their yellow vests.

Participation in the introduction costs a total of € 85,- including overnight stay or € 60,- excluding overnight stay. Register and pay below, do this before 25 August 2024.

We would like to be informed in advance if there are medical matters that we need to be aware of. This includes illnesses, (food) allergies (epipen) etc. You can report this to introfysio@fontys.nl or +31612852574.

Photos will be taken during the entire introduction week. These may be made public or used for promotional purposes. By participating in the introduction you agree to this (give permission for this).

You have to take your own airbed and sleeping stuff with you and sleep with a group of fellow students in a room.

During the introduction week a lot of photos and videos will be made. Ranging from selfies and videos on a mobile phone by fellow students to photos and videos by professional photographers and filmmakers. By participating in the introduction week you agree that the photos and/or videos will be published (on social media, flyers, advertisements and websites).
