Terms and Conditions of the Introduction Weekend SV. Innovum

Fontys University of Applied Sciences Engineering organizes the Fontys Introduction Weekend for new first-year students. This Introduction Weekend takes place under the responsibility of the student association SV. Innovum, registered in the Commercial Register of the Chamber of Commerce under number 17280558. These terms and conditions are part of the registration for the Introduction Weekend and are, among other things, accessible online through the website of SV. 1.1 The prospective student, registered at Fontys University of Applied Sciences in Eindhoven, hereinafter referred to as "Intro-kid."

1.2 The student mentors, hereinafter referred to as "mom/dad."

1.3 SV. Innovum, the association organizing the Introduction Weekend (partially) and the committees it has established, hereinafter referred to as "SV. Innovum."

1.4 The main organizer for the Introduction Weekend of Fontys University of Applied Sciences, hereinafter referred to as "Fontys."

1.5 Registration agreement: the confirmation sent by SV. Innovum via email to prospective students regarding their registration for the Introduction Weekend, including a personal identification code.

1.6 Event: The Fontys Introduction Weekend organized by SV. Innovum for prospective students registered at Fontys University of Applied Sciences Engineering in Eindhoven.

1.7 Venues: Fontys Nexus, De Rondom 1, 5612 AP Eindhoven. Student Sport Centrum Eindhoven (SSCE), Onze Lieve Vrouwestraat 1, 5612 AW Eindhoven. Schrik Horeca, Stratumseind 105, 5611 ER Eindhoven.

2.1 These terms and conditions apply to the Registration Agreement between the Intro-kid and SV. Innovum. Upon entering into the Registration Agreement, the Intro-kid declares that they have received a copy of these terms and conditions and agrees to them unconditionally.

2.2 Deviations from these terms and conditions are only binding if and to the extent that SV. Innovum has confirmed this in writing.

3.1 Only the registration proof sent digitally by SV. Innovum is valid and remains the property of SV. Innovum.

3.2 To obtain valid registration proof, all information must be filled out truthfully.

3.3 The registration proof is personal and may never be transferred to third parties.

3.4 The Intro-kid will be issued a wristband. The Intro-kid is required to wear the wristband visibly during the Event and to show it upon request to the mom/dad, SV. Innovum members, or third parties appointed by SV. Innovum.

3.5 In case of cancellation of the Registration Agreement, the registration fee will be refunded as follows:

4.1 During the Event, the Intro-kid will be accompanied by a mom/dad, who will also be the first point of contact.

4.2 While staying on the Venues, the Intro-kid must behave in accordance with the rules applicable there and general norms regarding public order, decency, and morality. If the Intro-kid does not comply with these rules and norms, SV. Innovum reserves the right to deny access to the Venues. In this case, a refund of the registration fee will be excluded.

4.3 During the Event, it is not allowed for the Intro-kid to bring or use (hard) drugs, alcoholic beverages, glassware, cans, confetti cannons, items that could cause hearing damage (or other injury), pig pens (varkensstiften), fireworks, (fire)arms, or other dangerous objects and (house) pets. Any such items will be confiscated without return, and the Intro-kid may be excluded from the Event.

4.4 Although alcohol will be served, SV. Innovum has a zero-tolerance policy regarding alcohol use for those under 18 years old. The Intro-kid must always carry a valid ID during the Event. If a minor is caught with alcohol, the alcohol will be confiscated, and SV. Innovum reserves the right to exclude the Intro-kid from the Event immediately. This right also applies to excessive alcohol consumption by an Intro-kid of age.

4.5 Theft and vandalism are strictly prohibited. SV. Innovum reserves the right to report this to the police.

4.6 Smoking, eating, and drinking are only allowed in designated areas.

4.7 Overnight stays/sleeping accommodations are not provided by SV. Innovum.

5.1 Participation in the Event and access to the Venues is at the Intro-kid's own risk.

5.2 SV. Innovum is not liable for damage resulting from the loss, damage, or theft of property belonging to the Intro-kid.

5.3 Any damage caused by the Intro-kid to movable or immovable property, including rented vehicles or third-party property, will be charged to the Intro-kid.

6.1 By entering into the Registration Agreement, the Intro-kid agrees or disagrees with the recording of their image on media. If the Intro-kid agrees and subsequently finds any posted images on social media to be embarrassing, confrontational, or unwanted, SV. Innovum will remove such images at the Intro-kid’s request. If the Intro-kid disagrees, SV. Innovum will make every effort to prevent their image from being recorded. Any images recorded will be removed by SV. Innovum, either at the Intro-kid's request or as far as possible.

6.2 Data provided by the Intro-kid to SV. Innovum will not be shared with third parties.

7.1 The Intro-kid is not authorized to reproduce (parts of) the program booklet, posters, flyers, or any other promotional material produced by or on behalf of SV. Innovum, nor to infringe upon SV. Innovum’s intellectual property rights, including but not limited to trademark rights, copyright, and trade name rights.

8.1 SV. Innovum will make every effort to hold the Event at the indicated locations, dates, and times.

8.2 If SV. Innovum deems it necessary for urgent reasons or in case of force majeure, SV. Innovum is entitled to reschedule or cancel the Event without being liable for any damages suffered or to be suffered by the Intro-kid. In case of cancellation, the paid registration fee will be refunded, excluding any booking or reservation fees paid by the Intro-kid.

9.1 Dutch law applies to the Registration Agreement.

9.2 Disputes arising from the Registration Agreement will be submitted exclusively to the competent court in 's-Hertogenbosch if SV. Innovum and the Intro-kid have not first reached a solution themselves.
