More than just studying
Participate in student representation
At Fontys, you have several opportunities to actively participate in student representation.
At various levels within Fontys (at programme, institute, university or even national level), you can contribute to decision-making and advising on matters that concern you and your fellow students. This includes areas such as the quality of education, study programmes, facilities, and policy-making. By taking part in student representation, you not only gain valuable experience but also help create a better study environment for everyone.
There are several ways to get involved in student representation:
- Central Participation Council (CMR): In the CMR, you represent the interests of all Fontys students. You act as the discussion partner of the Executive Board. The CMR can provide both solicited and unsolicited advice on matters that affect or have consequences for the entire Fontys community.
- Institute Participation Council (IMR): In the IMR, you represent the interests of the students within your specific institute.
- Programme Committee (OC): As a member of the OC, you contribute ideas on the quality of the educational programme. You will have direct contact with teachers and can propose improvements.
- Student Association: Many student associations have a board you can join. This offers the chance to get involved in organising activities, events, and advocating for student interests.
