Quitting in your first year

If this applies for you:

If you stop your student finance no later than February 1st in the first year you receive student finance for higher education, you do not have to repay the (additional) grant and the student travel product.

However, an interest-bearing loan must be repaid. The months you received student finance until February will count as used months. You cannot reclaim these months if you resume your studies at a later date and reactivate your right to student finance. More information can be found on the DUO website.
