Termination of enrollment by Fontys
Fontys can also terminate your enrollment in the cases explicitly mentioned in the law (WHW) (see also article 10 of the Student Charter).
- After receiving a binding negative study advice: your enrollment will be terminated starting from the first month after the date on which the binding negative study advice was issued.
- For non-payment of tuition fees: when one or more installments cannot be collected, you will receive a reminder requesting you to pay the outstanding installments. If the payment is not made within the specified period, a formal demand will follow. If the payment is not made within 14 days after the date of the formal demand, Fontys will terminate your enrollment by the second month following the date of the formal demand. See payment arrears.
- As part of a measure as referred to in article 42 of the Student Statute: if you have violated Fontys' house rules, you may be subject to a disciplinary measure. The most severe sanction is the termination of your enrollment. If such a measure is imposed, your enrollment will be terminated starting from the first month after the date of the measure.
- After serious fraud: in cases of very serious fraud, the examination committee may advise the Executive Board to terminate your enrollment. If the Executive Board makes such a decision, your enrollment will be terminated starting from the first month after the date of the decision.
- Death: In the event of the student's death, the enrollment will be terminated starting from the month following the month in which the death occurred.
