    In the spring of 2012, I was invited to be a visiting professor at the Academy for Circus and Performance Art (ACAPA). Although originally I planned to spend only 6 weeks here, I am still at working at the Academy since.

    The way leading to this position was long. As a child I used to do gymnastics on apparatus. In 1987, I gained admission to the Hungarian Circus Institute. After the foundation terms, I specialized myself to aerial cradle and springboard.

    Festival Mondial du Cirque de Demain in Paris

    Before my graduation, my group took part in the Festival Mondial du Cirque de Demain in Paris, where we got the jury’s special prize and within a month we got a contract in France for 11 months. Since then, I have worked in 37 countries all over the world.

    Holiday on Ice

    From 2002 to 2006 I worked for the world-famous Holiday on Ice, where I obtained a thorough training in ice-show. After 20 years of working hard in the world of circus, I decided to be a teacher.

    Teaching

    Teaching is a most rewarding profession for me. I am happy to have the possibility to impart my knowledge to my talented students, whom I am very proud of.

    'Born in France in 1976, during more tham 15 years he dedicates its life at the free climbing, sending lines of 8B+/C (5.13D / 5.14A) and competing in regionals, nationals and internationals, obtaining several podia along its free climber sports life. With 30 years he decides change the rock for the rope, beginning with the aerials, going away to Montreal (Canada) in 2010, and for 4 consecutive years realizing several trips to Montreal and Europe, to study rope and straps with the best teachers of National Circus School of Montreal (ENCM) and others european schools. Supervised during more tham 8 years by one of the most prestigious physical trainers of free climb of Spain (Pedro Bergua), he learn to applying the trainings at the specific movements on rope and straps. Ready, in 2012 he decides to create its first one “Rope Act”, the first one of a trilogy: “7WW” (2012), “UFR” (2013), “REQUIEM” (2014). Its career stands out more for its Master Class and Workshops, and regulars classes, teaching around the world in Canada, USA, and Europe.'

    Background

    Foucauld was born in France, and it’s in Chalons en Champagne where his circus talents started, developing by himself before moving to Brussels in 2002 at the “Espace Catastrophe”. He started working in street festivals with the Cie. "Dujoli Cirkus" which ran for 4 years throughout Europe with the show "Fin Sieste" directed by Louis Spagna. He worked with Dragone and as a teacher in technical of Chinese pole at the circus school in Rotterdam, ACAPA Tilburg (Holland) and « Le Lido » Toulouse (France) and several circus and dance companies as a coach: “Feria Musica”; “El Grito”, or André Giras. He performed his Chinese pole act in variety across Europe. He joined “NoFitState Circus” from Walles in the show "Tabu" in 2010 (UK) and won the Winter Circus Helsinki with his act at “Sol y Circo" Festival (Germany). The winter of 2010-2011 he joined Hurjaruut, creating a show for Winter Circus at Helsinki (Finland). In 2011 he did the new production with “NoFitState Circus” creating the show "Labyrinth" at EDEN Project, and again in 2012 with a new show "Bianco", both directed by Firenza Guidi (UK). Worked in the show "Sinué " By féria musica like a replacement In the Creation of the Show "Equilibrium" By 45degrees cirque du soleil creation of "Vertigo" duo with Vanina Fandiño on the Flying and Chinese Pole, directed by Philippe Vandeweghe (Belgium).     'I started tight wire when I was 9 with the decision to become a professional wire dancer. At 16 I entered to French cursus of ENACR and CNAC. After those schools I went to England with a dance company to discover new horizon. Since 2014 I work in Germany in different variété. We created in 2016 a new with only live music from the circus artist.'

    'Before entering a higher circus education in ACaPA, I have been following a one year intensive course of Circus Pedagogy at Ecole de cirque de Bruxelles. Then I had the opportunity to study at ACaPA for 4 years, specializing in Aerial cradle and Static trapeze. Since I graduated in june 2015, I am focusing again on teaching. Last autumn, I had the chance to work as a lead trainer for Circus Kathmandu, for 3 months in Nepal. Beside teaching, I am part of the creation of a circus company with 6 others artists.'

    Background

    After a sporting career of international level in gymnastics, and responsibilities in the sport management, I joined Ecole Nationale Arts Cirque Rosny in 1996 and start to teach acrobatics and chinese pole. I worked on different projects, and in particular for Cirque du Soleil in 2007 on spectacle ZED. Besides teaching swinging trapeze, cloud swing, aerial cradle and Korean cradle I now teach Chinese pole at ACaPA.

    'In 2009 I moved to Stockholm, Sweden where I graduated from the Dance & Circus University (DOCH). Later on I based my own company in Sweden.' Ron is also the founder and Performer in the Swedish/French Company LAZUZ, touring his solo show YAD and Involved in different artistic projects by performing and teaching in different venues around the world.'

    'I graduate as a physiotherapist in 2008, my first job was being a physiotherapist in stage entertainment Holiday on ice. After one season I left there and moved to Turkey/Ankara and Istanbul where I also had the opportunity to work with professional sportsmen. Since 2012 I have mine own clinic in rehabilitation and sports in Tilburg, and work already with full satisfaction for Acapa circus academy for three years.'

    'I am born in Utrecht, 58 years old, married and father of two daughters. After high school I have completed a bachelor study In Human Resource Management. Then I followed the university study of Public Administration (political science). I have worked among others as Head of an HR department in the youth care and welfare sector. Then I worked about 14 years as an self-employed interim manager in various branches. Before I came to work at Acapa (2010) I had virtually no knowledge of the circus world. As interim-manager I had only managed a project which aimed to investigate whether there were opportunities to provide artists with work (small jobs) in the school care (for children aged 4-12 years).'
