In the MSc Digital Technology Engineering at Fontys, you'll develop a T-shaped profile: a solid foundation in digital technologies such as AI, data analysis, and IoT, combined with specialized skills in areas of your choice. During the two-year MSc Digital Technology Engineering program, you’ll tackle courses that cover artificial intelligence, data analysis, Internet of Things, and embedded systems. You’ll also develop skills in systems engineering, practice-based research, and design thinking through open-ended challenges. This program balances theory with hands-on projects, preparing you to drive digital transformation in diverse industries.
In Year 1 of the Master Digital Technology Engineering, you’ll take on three open-ended challenges, paired with reflective in-between weeks. You’ll dive into data visualization, artificial intelligence, and IoT, while developing skills in systems engineering and design thinking. The third challenge involves working with a company, giving you practical experience and a solid foundation for Year 2.
In Year 2 of the Master Digital Technology Engineering, you’ll undertake one final open-ended challenge, followed by a 20-week internship where you complete your graduation project. During the preliminary research phase, you’ll define project goals and strategies. Then, in partnership with a company, you’ll apply your skills in digital transformation and technology integration, gaining hands-on experience tackling real-world challenges.
