Toon de Gouw
Toon de Gouw teaches trumpet (jazz/improvisation) and coaches various jazz combos. He received his bachelor’s degree cum laude from the Conservatory of Rotterdam (1985). He gave his first notable performance when he was 18 years old, in the Waterland Octet of pianist/composer Loek Dikker on the Jazz Festival Laren, which was broadcast live on the radio. Since then, he has played in Europe, the U.S., and Japan with The Timeless Orchestra and the Latin ensemble, Nueva Manteca. Until the present day, he has also been active as a freelance trumpet player.
