Admission requirements

You must have a relevant bachelor degree or equivalent in a business, engineering or logistics subject.

Candidates with no SCM/logistic background in their bachelor degree or in work experience, will receive a preparatory package 3 months prior to the start in September. This package consists of relevant readings, online tutorials and the possibility to join a short (free) pre-course 1,5 week before the start of the program.

To be accepted onto this degree course you must have a suitable English language qualification English:

  • IELTS Academic score of 6.5 overall (with a minimum of 5.5 in each element).
  • TOEFL iBT score of 90 (with minimum scores of listening 17, reading 18, speaking 20, writing 18).

They have been awarded no more than 2,5 years prior to your course start date at Venlo.

Dutch, German and EU-students with a bachelor degree according to the Diploma list of the Code of Conduct can be exempted from the required IELTS or TOEFL iBT test report.

After receipt and verification of the application form, Fontys University will send the enrolment letter / conditional enrolment letter / dismissal letter by email.

Fontys University of Applied Sciences will act according to the Code of Conduct.

Application process

The application steps vary for EEA and non-EEA students. Please continue reading to understand the specific requirements for your application process.

Tuition fees and other finances

First installment

  • EEA students: €4.350,-
  • Non-EEA students: €9.600,-

Second installment

  • EEA students: £6,934.-
  • Non-EEA students: £8,650.-

Tuition fees are paid in two instalments. The first instalment needs to be paid before June 1st (for non-EEA students) or before July 1st (for EEA students). The payment covers the first semester at Fontys Venlo.

You will receive a Payment agreement with full instructions from Fontys Venlo. The second instalment is charged in January and covers the second semester in Plymouth and the summer period.

Plymouth University will provide you with all information.

What other costs should you keep in mind?

Besides tuition fees, there are more costs such as textbooks, introduction, excursions and a good laptop. Are you going to live in a room? Then you will pay rent and other living costs such as gas, water and internet.

Check on DUO whether you are eligible for study financing or a student public transport pass.

Foreign students in the Netherlands typically spend €900-€1,100 monthly, covering rent, insurance, food, transport, clothing, and more.

How to apply

Applications for the MSc in International Logistics and Supply Chain Management can now be made. The application process may differ for EEA and Non-EEA students, please read below what applies for you.

Application deadlines EEA

September intake

Your application in 4 steps:

The documents that will need to be submitted are:

  • Copy of a valid ID or passport.
  • Diploma in the original language and a certified translation into Dutch, English or German
  • Final transcript of records in the original language and a certified translation into Dutch, English or German
  • Proof of English proficiency as mentioned in the admission requirements. The language certificates that are accepted are mentioned in the application form. All certificates must be obtained at a test center and cannot be taken online.


Upload the required admission documents and identification documents digitally through the admission form. The diploma validation might take up to four weeks. You will receive a notification of the outcome as soon as available.

3. Complete the payment of the tuition fees.
Once you have received the information that you are admissible, you will receive a Payment Letter in which we ask you to pay the tuition fees to Fontys in 1 time. This payment must be paid before the deadline mentioned on the Payment Letter. The amount will only be for the semester at Fontys.

4. We can only arrange full enrolment once you have shown the admission documents at the Student Service Centre as a hard copy. Please note that this includes the final diploma and transcript of records in the original language and translated into English, German or Dutch if applicable. This needs to be arranged before the start of the study programme. You will be informed about this matter in detail during the admission process.
