From an early age, Naomi Starmans has been working in the family business, Starmans Transporten B.V. She started sorting papers as a child and currently works as an administrative assistant with important duties such as payroll administration. Besides working at the administration, Naomi has also obtained her driver's license, and she can regularly be found on the road with a truck. Naomi believes it is important to have knowledge of all branches of the company and the transport of goods by road is one of them. Naomi hopes to be able to take over the company in the future and continue it successfully.
Starmans Transport was founded by her father mr. J Starmans in 1993. He started with 1 truck and has now expanded to 100 tractor units and the company has around 170 employees. Starmans has recently also opened a 2nd branch in Germany, in order to be able to serve its customers even better. Something to be proud of!
Transport and logistics are currently under heavy pressure, not so much because there is no work but because of the shortage of drivers. The training courses are becoming increasingly difficult and the costs of the training are rising. A challenge that Starmans is constantly working on as a company.
The SOR scheme allows Naomi to actively participate in the company during her studies. Naomi will have the opportunity to grow in the company through this arrangement and thus to be able to achieve her goal for the future.
