Food & Beverage
Eating and drinking during the Purple Introduction festival is a basic need. Question is how we can make sure that the right choices are being made so that we don't create a negative impact on the environment? Think about what kind of food/drinks, where is it sourced, how to prevent food waste, etc.
Energy
Every event is powered by energy, so is Purple. And there are two things to consider
when talking about energy: reduction of energy and how we generate energy. What
energy efficient alternatives are possible during the event? And how can Purple
contribute to using renewable energy?
Materials & waste
The key components are how to reduce and reuse the waste. For example: should we start using different materials for our promotion during the festival? Is it possible to carefully manage the waste flows? How can we influence the behavior of visitors in a positive way? How can we turn the waste of our festival into someone else's treasure?
Water & Sanitation
Water and Sanitation are two of luxuries that we are taking for granted. But how are we going to use water without spilling it? Can we find a way to reuse the water that we used for washing our hands? Can we make sanitation (more) water efficient? Sanitation is a need that you cannot reduce but therefore solutions regarding this subject have a very high impact.
Image and identity
Purple is an event that will create memories for life. Student teams want to create
and visualise their identity for several reasons. But how can we do this without
harming the environment while creating a sustainable community?
