Inclusive network

Social Network
A social network is invaluable to everyone.
It offers people emotional support, practical help and feeling part of a bigger group with the same goal in life.
When thinking about an event like Purple you might think about meeting lots of people at the same time with the same passion. The goals each individual will bring to the event might be different. Talking to different people with the same passion is where the magic happens. How can dots be connected?

Mental and physical health, well-being
Organizing an event as Purple asks for a certain responsability towards your crowd. How can we make sure that there's enough attention for mental well-being so everyone's feeling welcome at Purple? And how can we stimulate positive behavior related to drinking and participating in traffic?

Financial affordability
Purple also has to be a sustainable event which is on the yearly agenda of Fontys. But
how can we make sure that organizing the event is cost-effective without excluding
students who are financially tight.

Accessibility
Accessibility is about how people can participate and experience the Purple event. Accessibility therefore goes beyond being able to get there because it is also about being able to experience the event. A good example is Sencity Festival.
In order to participate fully, it is necessary that products, processes, buildings, services, etc. are accessible to everyone. This means that we not only take into account the different functioning of bodies (inside and outside) in existing and new matters, but also express this in our actions/designs. We look at how people move in/to a space, the feeling/experience and the information provision.
Purple is the event where people come together; where everyone is able to come together. Getting there must not have great negative impact on the environment. So how can we make sure everyone can participate by getting to the event safely without negatively impacting the environment?

Communication and marketing
Everyone should attend Purple! But how do you let people know when and where? How can we
communicate about the best sustainable event for students and staff to connect with each other and make the best start for your study programme, without detracting a healthier planet? How to be inclusive and sustainable in the way you communicate (pictures, language, Dutch and English, inclusive images,
he/she, etc.)?
