All studies or internships abroad need to be registered in our online system Mobility Online. Please be aware of the deadlines for a minor abroad, an internship and the deadlines for an Erasmus+ scholarship.

For all travel advice, please be aware that changes may occur between the moment of registration and the start of your Minor Study Abroad that may not allow travel to certain countries. Please make sure to check the latest status on via Reisadviezen | Nederland Wereldwijd

Registration minor abroad

Please use this link to register yourself if you want to study abroad at a partner university. Please note that you need to pass your propedeuse in order to apply for the Minor Study Abroad. If you have question about propedeuse, please contact your Coordinator Internationalisation. You can find the registration deadlines at the bottom of this page. This is a very strict deadline, you will not be able to study abroad at a partner university if you miss the deadline. Soon after the deadline you will receive an e-mail with the selection results from Team study abroad or your Coordinator Internationalisation. Please be aware that a registration in Mobility Online is not the same as an application for an Erasmus+ scholarship.

Registration freemovers

Keep in mind that you only have to register yourself as a Freemover as soon as you know where you are going. Some students register with a Fontys partner first, in case you don't get selected you can always register yourself as a Freemover later on. The deadlines for registration as a freemover are much more flexible as you make all the arrangements yourself. Just keep in mind that you will have to deal with deadlines for application at a host university, and that Fontys has to approve your courses before you can leave.

Registration internship abroad

The deadlines for registration for an internship are flexible, however, an important rule is that before you start the internship, the Learning Agreement and Grant Agreement must be signed. Therefore, you need to register your internship abroad as soon as you know where you are going and take into consideration that there is time needed to sign the required documents before start. Otherwise you are not eligible for the Erasmus+ scholarship.

Deadlines

You always have to register for a Minor Study Abroad one semester beforehand. For example, when going abroad for the Fall semester you have to register in February. When going abroad for the Spring semester you have to register in September.
