Course description

This module gives the historical context to the extraordinary economic growth story of China since 1979. By tracing historical developments and events relevant to the emergence of China as an economic superpower in the 21st century, students will obtain important insights into China and it’s culture, economy and recent history.

  • Understand the main historical event of Chinese macroeconomics principles and policies and being able to relate them to current Chinese and global economic developments.
