Course description
You will embark on the exciting journey of learning the basics of finance for the International Business study. In this course we will focus on the three important financial statements - The Balance Sheet, The Income Statement and The Cash Flow Statement. We will then go deeper into the statements and look at concepts such as debt financing and equity financing. Next we will move to a more wider stance, and look at the general accounting concepts as well as the statements from the perspective of various stakeholders and analysis using financial ratios.

Course description
The class runs parallel to the Management Cluster course in the first semester of the first year. The Intercultural Management courses in the first semester of the first year are deepened, and the Organisational structure and culture introduced in the first semester of the first year are expanded under the umbrella topic of Human Resources Management. The key topic will be Human Resources Management. Six major HR topics will be covered over 6 weeks, allowing for an exploration of both typical/traditional HR practices and the most recent HR trends in the global business environment. In the 7th week, IB HR conference will be organized.

This module focuses on providing conceptual and practical guidance on (re-)developing a sales strategy in an international B2B context. Drafting an actionable sales strategy forms a concrete basis for a strong competitive edge and start with questions such as:

This Organizational Change course forms part of the Business Process Management Elective. Over the 21st century we have witnessed rapid internationalization and globalization of business and the rise of multinational corporations. What was the role of the states in fostering these developments? And how do we prevent multinational companies from violating basic human rights, causing environmental damage, monopolizing the markets and fostering inequality?
In this course you learn about the growing role of regulation and law in international business. In particular, you learn about legal vehicles which promote international business, including corporate structures, contracts and IP rights. Management Accounting, also known as managerial accounting or cost accounting, focuses on providing financial information and analysis to help management make informed business decisions that contribute to the company's success. In this course we will look at production companies. The main objectives include cost accounting (defining cost prices), decision-making support (stop or continue, make or buy, investment decisions), planning and budgeting (setting financial goals, preparing budgets, and monitoring actual performance against these budgets).
