Course description

Based on your development needs described in your Business Development Portfolio (BDP), you will notice that a business model is essential to launching new innovative products or services or scaling up existing businesses. This training offers a learning by doing learning experience and covers the essentials of building business models using the business model canvas. Special attention is given to how digital technologies change how value is created as well as change the outcome of any innovation.

Competences and learning objectives

After the course you can:

  • Explain how your selected business model creates, delivers and captures value;
  • Explain the importance and function of digital technologies in your selected business model;
  • Explain how your selected business model can develop a strategic sales cycle;
  • Produce work in appropriate formats (process, report and presentation) nurturing a critical thinking approach and demonstrating an understanding of academic conventions.
