At Fontys, you do not merely study from books. You apply what you have learned in practice. During lessons, lecturers challenge you to ask questions, join discussions, and participate in creative brainstorm sessions. Year 2 is all about deepening your knowledge. We built on the insights you have gained in year 1, and we will cover more advanced topics, such as crisis communication and brand strategy.
In the second part of the year, you will follow intensive courses on storytelling and online communications, and you will take part in a strategy challenge. In year 2, you will transition from a generalist into a communication expert.
Year 3 is dedicated to exploration and specialization. You’ll spend five months on an internship, locally or abroad, with a host company of your choice, guided by our list of past partners.
In the second half, you’ll immerse yourself in a minor at Fontys or a partner university, tailoring your studies to your interests and aspirations.
In your final year, you and a team of students will work as independent communication specialists, tackling projects for real clients and building your portfolio. You'll decide whether to work individually or with a team, showcasing your skills as a communications manager and proving you're ready for the next step in your career.
