In case of a Bachelor's degree in another technical descipline, we can advise you whether it is doable for you to sign up.

You must have an appropriate English language qualification:

  • According to the Code of Conduct, students seeking admittance to an English-taught master’s programme must be able to prove that their command of the English language is at least equal to a score of 6.0 of the IELTS Test.
  • TOEFL iBT score of 90 (with minimum scores of listening 17, reading 18, speaking 20, writing 18).

We believe it is important to get to know our students personally prior to the final application. During a personal interview we determine whether the study is feasible for you. After the intake meeting you can apply for the master.

Fontys University of Applied Sciences will act according to the Code of Conduct.

Tuition fees and other finances

Taking care of your finances is an important part of student life. There are tuition fees, possible scholarships and (proof of) living expenses to consider.

More about finances

Good to know: the Dutch Immigration Service (IND) requires non-EEA students to prove they have access to a certain amount of money per year/semester. Read more by clicking the link above.

What other costs should you keep in mind?

In addition to tuition fees, you may encounter other expenses such as textbooks, introduction activities, excursions, and a reliable laptop. Planning to live in student accommodation? Don’t forget to factor in rent and other living costs, such as gas, water, and internet.

Be sure to check with DUO to see if you qualify for student finance or a public transport pass.

International students in the Netherlands typically spend between €1,100 and €1,500 per month, covering expenses such as rent, insurance, food, transport, clothing, and more.
