Rest and Reflection Weekend

Need to pause for a moment – from deadlines, pressure, or just the noise of everyday life?

Join TINT and Motiv for a special Rest & Reflection Weekend in the calm and green surroundings of Nijmegen. Together with students from Delft and Eindhoven, you’ll have the chance to slow down, connect with others, and reconnect with yourself.

Throughout the weekend, we’ll offer a range of reflective workshops and shared experiences designed to give you space – for rest, creativity, meaning, and simply being. Whether you feel like walking, sharing, creating, or just breathing – this weekend is yours. All activities are optional.

Keynote and Dialogue: The Colour of Knowledge | Eindhoven

What types of knowledge do we (un)consciously value more than others? How does this shape our work and perspectives? On Thursday 4 December three speakers will challenge conventional views on knowledge and invite you to explore alternative perspectives.

Programme

  • 16:00-16:30 | Opening by Kaylee Rosalina. The Colour of Knowledge – About power, identity and truth. Who is allowed to speak as an expert? And which forms of knowledge receive (too) little recognition?
  • 16:30-17:15 | Your choice between two breakout sessions.
  • Crip Wisdom by Lisa Jansen. How people with disabilities, chronic illness, or mental vulnerability form a unique and valuable source of knowledge.
  • Navigating with Other Capital by Giovanni Nobre. He shares the strength of communicaties in so-called ‘disadvantaged’ neighborhoods like Delfshaven.
  • 17:15-18:00 | Dialogue session. Dialogue tables and reflection on the day’s outcomes.

This event is open to students and employees and is free of costs. It is hosted in Dutch, but translation service is available upon request.
