E. (Elizabeth) Venicz
Elizabeth Venicz studied cultural anthropology at the University of Amsterdam and creative writing & teaching at the Utrecht school of arts (HKU). Ze worked with, did research among, wrote about and also with groups that are marginalised in society, such as prostitutes, refugees, people living in poverty.
She researches the way their voices can become part of the social debate.At Fontys she researches how inclusive journalism can provide space for all voices in society and how we can train journalism students to work more inclusively. At this moment she researches the way in which people in poverty are portrayed in newspapers and other media and how this influences the lives of people in poverty and policy on poverty.
