Get a good impression of what your study programme will look like.
During your studies in Marketing Management, practice is key: you will do a lot of teamwork but are also busy with your own development. You will follow classes, so that you slowly but surely become the expert in the field of marketing and sales.
The Marketing Management bachelor's is a 4-year programme. Subjects and courses projects that are covered in the programme in Venlo include branding, online marketing, sales, marketing communication, market research and consumer behavior. You will also receive training in communication skills. This includes working in a team, interviewing and presenting.
In year 1, you learn more about the basics of marketing process and online marketing. You do research on consumer behaviour and get input on scientific economic research and business. On top of that, you acquire and develop relevant soft skills, such as communication, negotiation, teamwork, professionalism, and responsibility. You'll also deepen your knowledge of the English language in business situations.
During the second year, you deepen your marketing expertise with courses like brand management, digital marketing, and marketing controlling. Engage in practical projects, including the StartUp Factory, where you'll collaborate with students from various programmes and nationalities. Choose one of four projects, such as launching a start-up or solving real company problems, enhancing creativity and communication skills.
In the second semester, you’ll expand your knowledge through a minor programme. You can choose to do this minor at Fontys, at one of our partner universities in the Netherlands, or at one of our 125 partner universities all over the world.
In year 4, you’ll tackle a real-life case project with a company and dive into advanced marketing modules like CRM, data analytics, and international trade. In the final semester, you will complete another work placement, solving a practical company problem and presenting it in your graduation report, earning your Bachelor of Science degree.
