Eveline Vervliet
In artistic terms, I define myself as a composer, sound artist and performer, looking for ways to connect music and art with technological innovations and the climate crisis. I am concerned with the world around us and I believe art to have capacities no other disciplines have. By challenging and triggering my audience, I want them to reflect on themselves and their surroundings.
I began my studies at Fontys as a pianist, then found my way to composition and now I feel I’m transitioning to a more multimedia-based art. This means I don’t only compose acoustic and electronic music, but I also code a lot and create my own interactive installations and videos. Besides that, I perform live electronics in improvisations and compositions.
I am graduating with the project Please, Do. It is a multimedia project with music, interactive installations and games.
In the following years, I want to ameliorate all these aspects of my work: composition, multimedia art and performance. Finding a study or a combination of studies in which I can combine all these things is a challenge, but I know that in the end, I will find my way, just like I did during my Bachelor studies.
I am very happy about and grateful for my time at AMPA, and I’m looking forward to the future!
