M.A. (Mark) Janssen MSc
Mark Janssen is docent-onderzoeker bij de bachelor Sportkunde. Hij is in januari 2022 gepromoveerd aan de faculteit Industrial Design aan de Technische Universiteit Eindhoven. Daarvoor heeft hij een Master afgerond in de Bewegingswetenschappen (VU Amsterdam), en is afgestudeerd als Bachelor Lichamelijke Opvoeding (Fontys Sporthogeschool).
Zijn promotieonderzoek had tot doel de motieven en het gedrag van recreatieve hardlopers beter te begrijpen, en hiermee hardloop gerelateerde technologie te ontwerpen die aansluit bij de motieven en het gedrag van recreatieve hardlopers. Ook binnen het onderzoeksteam van het lectoraat Move to Be is hij met eenzelfde soort thematiek bezig. Gericht op individuele en ongebonden breedtesporters die behoefte hebben aan begeleiding op maat, om blessures te voorkomen en demotivatie te overwinnen en dan met name de rol die technologie daarbij kan spelen.
