L.W.C. (Bart) van Gennip
Bart van Gennip heeft een achtergrond ICT & Finance en een Master in IT Auditing. Na een carrière in ERP consultancy en financieel en IT management in het bedrijfsleven heeft hij in 2014 een overstap gemaakt naar het onderwijs en praktijkgericht onderzoek.
Binnen het HTES lectoraat heeft Bart onderzoek gedaan naar slimme planningssystemen en simulaties binnen het programma Digital Factory of the Future. In het NXTGEN High Tech programma is hij projectleider vanuit Fontys ICT bij de programma’s “Enabling technologies for smart networks - Supply network” en de “Autonomous factory”.Binnen het IxD lectoraat heeft Bart onderzoek gedaan naar het ontwikkelen van prototypes voor het inrichten van de publieke omgeving met betrekking tot gezond bewegen in het Vitality Living Lab programma. Verder doet hij onderzoek naar IT infrastuctuur voor toegepaste onderzoeksomgevingen en European Data Spaces, specifiek op het gebied van Smart Sustainable Cities & Communities.
Strategisch werkt hij aan het actueel houden van het onderzoeksportfolio en het netwerk van Fontys ICT in nauwe samenwerking met lectoren, onderzoekers en het onderwijs.

Bart van Gennip has a background in ICT & Finance and a Master's degree in IT Auditing. After a career in ERP consultancy and financial and IT management in the business world, he made the switch to education and applied research in 2014.
Within the HTES research group, Bart has conducted research into smart planning systems and simulations within the Digital Factory of the Future program. In the NXTGEN High Tech program, he is project leader from Fontys ICT for the programs “Enabling technologies for smart networks - Supply network” and the “Autonomous factory”.
Within the IxD research group, Bart has researched the development of prototypes for organizing the public environment with regard to healthy exercise in the Vitality Living Lab program. He also conducts research into IT infrastructure for applied research environments and European Data Spaces, specifically in the field of Smart Sustainable Cities & Communities.
Strategically, he works on keeping the research portfolio and the Fontys ICT network up to date in close collaboration with professors, researchers and education.
