Liza Voetman (1992) works as an art critic, writer and teacher. Currently she is a PhD candidate at Tilburg University. In her research project, she develops a new conceptualization of the critical counter-voice in contemporary art practices under the neoliberal conditions of the 21st century. Liza writes among others for Metropolis M & Kunsthuis SYB and is advisor at the Mondriaan Fund. She was previously a participant in the Arts/Science: Academy Honours Programme for Young Artists and Scientists of the KNAW ‘19. In 2022, her essay series What is a good world? Internationalisation in a post-Covid society was published by APE (Art Paper Editions, Ghent).
Liza Voetman is theory teacher and Graduation Coordinator at the Art, Communication & Design program at Fontys Academy of the Arts. Her doctoral research is substantively supervised from Fontys Academy of the Arts by Falk Hübner, lecturer in Artistic Connective Practices.
