Protocol sexual assault

Dear student,
You are looking for information on what to do when you have had to deal with sexual intimidation or abuse. The most important thing is: don't keep this information to yourself. In a personal conversation, you can talk about this with your studentcoach or a teacher you trust. If necessary, extra help from a confidential advisor, student psychologist or a student counsellor could be used. Down below you'll find more information about what you can do.

It is important to talk to someone you trust. Don't just stick around with it, there are several options with Fontys. Below we give you some options:

  1. If the situation is linked to the study programme, please contact the confidential advisor;
  2. We advise you to contact your GP if possible;
  3. If desired, contact the police as soon as possible;
  4. You can contact the sexual assault center (this can be done anonymously). They offer professional help to anyone who has experienced an unwanted sexual experience.
  5. You can inform someone you trust within your study programme of this (discuss this with a student coach or a teacher you trust).
